Delivering thought-provoking, eye-opening and inspiring presentations, Jacquie Davis is an accomplished speaker, in-demand all over the world. From addressing conferences and seminars to speaking at black-tie dinners, she draws the (surprisingly many) parallels between our everyday environment and the somewhat niche world of Close Protection Officers, aka bodyguards.

Jacquie also lectures to businesses, women’s groups and university students about how to stay safe; personally, socially and in the workplace.

Motivational Speaking.

There are infinite examples of women leaders who play a vital role in the business world. But those stories, unfortunately, aren’t always told to a wider audience. Jacquie Davis aims to change the narrative, bringing the stories of strong female leaders and trusted decision-makers to life — redefining our understanding of what it means to be a woman surviving in a man’s world.

Jacquie is regularly invited to address audiences of women that have hit that proverbial ‘glass ceiling’ in the workplace, or young women in their final years of education and contemplating their career in the big wide world, not really knowing what decisions to make or career path to follow.

Jacquie Davis is living proof that you really can achieve anything you aspire to achieve in life, with passion and determination.

After Dinner Speaking.

An engaging, entertaining and very popular after dinner speaker, Jacquie Davis’ mysterious world as a close protection officer — or bodyguard, as they’re more commonly known — is very different to the environment that most people inhabit. In her speeches, Jacquie recalls some of the harrowing and often hilarious situations in which she has found herself throughout her career.

Whether she’s up a mountain in Yemen, being chased by a one-armed bandit in Pakistan or protecting celebrities and ultra-rich Russian oligarchs, during her 30+ years on ‘the circuit’ — as the body-guarding world calls itself — Jacquie has been stabbed in the leg, thrown through a shop window and shot at by snipers. However, she confesses that by far her scariest moment was fending off a 400-strong gaggle of horny women while body-guarding at a male strip show.

Whatever your event and whoever the audience, they’ll find Jacquie Davis a unique, entertaining and inspiring after dinner speaker, with a life-story that’s equally astounding.

Keynote Speaking.

A bodyguard’s first line of defence is their brain — not brawn — so if you do have to get physical, then you’ve already lost. When you see pop stars and A-list actors being overshadowed by 6′ tall and 6′ wide lumps of muscle, they are minders, not bodyguards. The reality for a close protection officer (CPO) is very different, it’s about being able to blend into the background, someone who just looks like the rest of the group.

The role of a bodyguard is to be a discreet and invisible, yet highly invaluable, force of protection. To be effective in this manner, the CPO will be responsible for safeguarding their ‘principle’ from physical attacks, kidnapping, harassment and any other perceivable dangerous situation.

The bodyguard needs to be highly experienced and possess a wide range of skills including research and reconnaissance, undertaking due diligence, acute judgement and organisation, observation and surveillance, staying cool and calm under extreme pressure, impeccable time management, physical fitness and being able to make immediate potentially lifesaving decisions.

Whilst the snap decisions you may have to make in business are unlikely to be life-threatening, they may well be decisions that make or break the future success of your organisation.

Themes and topics within Jacquie’s keynote presentations include:

  • Team communication and strategy
  • Supportive and inspiring leadership
  • Decision making under extreme pressure
  • Risk management and mitigation
  • Creating and empowering cohesive effective teams
  • Logistical planning, focus and achieving your goals
  • Crisis planning and damage limitation
  • Gender equality, the workplace and the proverbial glass ceiling
